Center of International Relations

The Center of International Relations is in charge of welcoming all international students. If you need further information (applications, first registration, etc.) do not hesitate to contact them.
Good to know
In September the Center of International Relations follows the registrations up and helps you with administrative paperwork. Computers are available for students to do this in the “Maison de l’Etudiant” (located on Esplanade ERASME) and the computer room of the Department of Arts (First Floor, room 125b).

* Accommodation
CROUS is a public institution providing students with social assistance. It organizes student accommodation, university restaurants and cultural events.
Thanks to the CROUS, you will find single rooms reserved for students or a furnished apartment for an affordable rent, all this not far from university
On this page you will find a list of flats and rooms available in Dijon.

      • Adverts
Local press, free newspapers and some specialized websites can help you find a flat independent from University (with private individuals or real estate agencies).
Here are some examples: Paru Vendu, Le Bon Coin, Vivastreet

     • Financial support for housing
On the website of the Caisse d’Allocations Familiales (CAF), you will find the two main benefits that can help you paying your rent: Personalised Housing Assistance (APL: Aide Personnalisée au Logement) and Social Housing Assistance (ALS: Allocation Logement à caractère Social).
When you will have a permanent address in Dijon you will be able to complete your application for housing assistance online.

* Eating out on campus & in Dijon
In order to eat at preferential prices on the campus or in the city center you can go to the various university restaurants. Next to the campus, you can also find lots of sandwich shops, kebabs, bakeries and food & drink outlets.

* SUAPS – Service Universitaire des Activités Physiques et Sportives
When you are studying at the University of Burgundy you can play sports at a preferential rate thanks to the SUAPS (ex: gymnastics, team sports, climbing, canoeing, etc.)

* Transport network in Dijon (Divia)
On this website you will find all the information necessary about bus transportation in Dijon: routes of the buses, stops and timetables. Some buses connect the campus to the center and the railway station.
In 2013 the new tram should be operating in Dijon.

* Erasmus Association « InsiDijon »
InsiDijon is an association intended for foreign students (Erasmus or international) studying in Dijon. This association will help with your integration by offering useful information, nights out, meal, trips, group activities… They will enable you to discover French culture and to meet international students.

For more practical information don’t forget to read the student’s guide (in French) to know more about studies, accommodation, restaurants, health (with the so called Médecine Préventive), but also about what you can do during your spare time (nights out, restaurants, concerts…). The guide you absolutely need!!
